In our small workshop in a craft village on the outskirts of Hanoi, Vietnam,
we create tableware, home decor, and decorative pieces using rare natural materials such as shell and buffalo horn.
HISTORY
Shell and Buffalo Horn
Since ancient times, animal horns, tusks, and shells have been used to make ornaments and everyday objects. However, because each piece varies in size and thickness, these materials are difficult to industrialize and have gradually been replaced by ceramics, glass, metal, resin, and other materials over time.
We turned our attention to the traditional craft of working with shell and buffalo horn that has been preserved in Vietnam. Since 2007, we have worked alongside our dedicated artisans to explore new techniques. By sharing with them the aesthetic sensibilities and quality standards valued by our customers in Japan, we strive to create pieces that resonate with contemporary tastes.
Our journey may still be a modest one, but a new form of craftsmanship is gradually taking shape.

Bringing Out the Full Potential of Each Material
We do not add color to our shell or buffalo horn. Instead, we let the materials' natural hues speak for themselves. We use no coatings—only polishing to bring out their natural luster.

Every step is carried out by hand by our artisans.
The range of colors found in shell is limited, as are the thickness and size of each piece. Working within these natural constraints, we have continued to experiment and refine our techniques in pursuit of ever greater possibilities for expression.
Within a single shell, some areas shimmer brilliantly, while others have a matte texture. Some colors are vivid, while others are muted. As long as there are no cracks or chips, we believe in making use of every part of the material without waste.
Some customers are drawn to brilliant, luminous pieces, while others prefer more understated, subdued tones. That is why, above all, we value giving our customers the opportunity to hold each piece in their hands and choose the one that speaks to their own unique sensibilities.
